The forest series is an on going series that started in 1997. The general purpose of the series is to replicate stripes. Most of the photographs are taken in the Netherlands, which is a bit of a joke because it is probably the only country in the world without a natural forest.     This arrangement of trees; to simulate a forest was intriguing. When speeding by the trees in a car they look like vertical blinds that were half open. Even better they appeared to look like a series of paintings I was working on. The series of paintings based on the same theme I created once again this pushing and pulling (or) collaboration between painting and photography.
